My passion for photography began when I was 17 years of age as I was studying graphic design in Atlanta. I changed course after getting a bargain on an old Ricoh Singlex II and switched my studies to photography at a tech school in Charleston. There I became enveloped in the ability to explore and express an art form in the solitude of the darkroom. I was captivated by the work of Jerry Uelsmann, Cindy Sherman, Richard Avedon, Ansel Adams, Robert Mapplethorpe and many more. I quickly began assisting other commercial and editorial photographers, learning more about the trade and nurturing my endless ambition. I traveled all over North America with various shooters, absorbing invaluable knowledge, knowing one day I was to be behind the lens as they were. I shot weddings, babies, families, absurd events, anything to keep me enveloped in photography. I slaved away in lighting and grip rental shop, worked in theatrical and event lighting, was on the electric crew in television shows, and I never stopped learning. I was a lion on the prowl for mastery.
I bring all of this knowledge and experience to each and every job for each and every one of my clients today as an award-winning photographer. My passion for this art grows infinitely as I create with so many inspiring people.
